A colourful booklet for Ballet Bodies YYC’s yearly performance.
Ballet Bodies YYC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making dance inclusive and accessible. In November 2024, they hosted their third annual performance—In Motion III—that celebrated movement, grace, and creativity. They had already designed a calendar to celebrate the event, and wanted an event booklet to hand out during the performance.
I was provided the copy, imagery, and additional elements including sponsor logos. For the booklet’s creative direction, I mirrored the calendar’s minimal style to create a cohesive identity across all of the performance’s collateral. I infused more purples to complement the imagery, and used thicker fonts to ensure optimal legibility in a theatre space. I ensured the design followed Ballet Bodies YYC’s dedication to inclusivity by selecting imagery with women from a variety of ethnicities and backgrounds.

Since the booklet’s imagery was vibrant and colourful with occasional overlapping text, I proofed it multiple times throughout the design process to ensure text was legible and make any colour adjustments.
